The first forum for El Sistema in Cebu was held yesterday, August 4, 2012 with representatives from the sectors of education, religion, business, and non-profit work.

The staff of St. Benedict’s Learning Center, Malou and Kulas for overseeing ingress, egress and meals for all attendees and performers of the forum, whose presence is a testament to their commitment to the children of Cebu. We will grow in numbers and in this lifetime, see the children of Cebu uplifted through excellent art education, especially music.

Sunday Morning Choir Session for Ermita Kids
The first El Sistema-inspired music program in Cebu which began in December 2011 as part of the Ermita Children’s Art Project – an art program for 90 at-risk youth in Ermita, Cebu (through the leadership of Bidlisiw Foundation and Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc) These kids were featured at a culminating concert at Ayala Activity Center last May 30, 2012.
